After having finished his secondary education, André Vermaat joined the Royal Navy. During six years he combined travelling all over the world with getting a degree in business organization. After leaving, Vermaat continued taking courses in business organization and retail, among others, and a three-year course in top management at Nyenrode Business University.
He has working experience in several trades: wine, advertising and customer-related services. After having completed a project in Portugal, he decided to continue his career in the travel industry. This was 12 years ago. As Head of Sales at D-reizen, he was responsible for incorporating “multi-channel management” into the organization. Currently, Vermaat is Director Customer Care at UPC Nederland, a company that has been putting great effort in improving its image concerning customer communications. UPC Nederland is striving to be the very best in customer relations.
